FloridaMakes Surpasses $5 Billion in Economic Impact, Celebrates 10 Years of Manufacturing Support
Orlando, FL – FloridaMakes announced today that it has officially surpassed $5 billion in total economic impact, marking a major milestone in the organization’s decade-long mission to strengthen and advance Florida’s manufacturing sector. The announcement was made during the organization's 10-year anniversary celebration at its Annual Board Meeting, highlighting the measurable success of its work with manufacturers across the state.
As of Q1 2025, FloridaMakes has driven:
- $3.6 billion in total new and retained sales
- $1 billion in new investment
- $331 million in cost savings
- The creation and retention of 27,884 jobs
“These numbers reflect more than just dollars—they represent real businesses growing, investing, and creating opportunities in our communities,” said John Krug, Director of Economic Development, Niagara Bottling and Chair of the FloridaMakes Board of Directors. “Crossing the $5 billion mark is a testament to what strong partnerships and a commitment to Florida's manufacturers can achieve.”
Since its founding in 2015, FloridaMakes has served as the state’s official representative of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network. With the mission of strengthening and advancing Florida’s manufacturing economy, FloridaMakes provides hands-on services to help manufacturers innovate, improve productivity, and remain globally competitive.
