FloridaMakes has partnered with the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE) announced a partnership that brings together the manufacturing and education community aimed toward creating economic opportunity in Florida’s growing manufacturing sector. FLATE is the go-to organization for manufacturing and advanced technical education best practices and resources.

Career Pathway Resources

The Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE) works closely with secondary and postsecondary manufacturing education programs to:
  • help schools maintain relevant and up-to-date curriculum
  • provide educational resources for educators, and
  • provide best practices for recruiting students for Florida’s manufacturing sectors.

Support Careers in Manufacturing

  • Participate in Manufacturing Month student outreach events. Talk to your local Regional Manufacturers Association about how you reach out to students in your area to let them know about the wide range of career opportunities available in manufacturing.
  • Hire a Graduate! Click here for the contact at the state college near you to hire a graduate of an Engineering Technology A.S. degree or certificate program.
