The following data is from the Florida Department of Commerce, Bureau of Workforce Statistics and Economic Research (WSER), using 2025 and July 2026 manufacturing data.
- Florida manufacturers employ more than 430,000 workers statewide, with manufacturing employment reaching 430,400 jobs in July 2026.
- Florida is home to more than 27,000 manufacturing establishments, with 27,148 manufacturing businesses operating across the state in 2025.
- Manufacturing has added jobs in 51 of the last 64 months, demonstrating the industry's continued growth and resilience.
- Manufacturing workers experienced a 3.5% unemployment rate in 2025, compared to 4.3% across all industries statewide.
- Miami-Dade County leads Florida in manufacturing employment with approximately 45,600 jobs, accounting for 10.7% of the state's manufacturing workforce.
- Many of Florida's manufacturing careers do not require a college degree. Only two of the state's 15 largest manufacturing occupations require education beyond a high school diploma.
