Lt. Governor Jay Collins Joins Florida Manufacturing Leadership Roundtable

Manufacturing leadership was at the table as FloridaMakes and the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida welcomed Lt. Governor Jay Collins for a Florida Manufacturing Leadership Roundtable.

Hosted by FloridaMakes CEO Kevin Carr and MACF Executive Director Candy Cole, the roundtable brought together manufacturing executives and industry leaders for a candid discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing Florida manufacturers.

The conversation focused on workforce development, business growth, innovation, supply chain priorities, and the future of Florida’s manufacturing economy. These topics remain central to the long-term competitiveness of manufacturers across the state and reflect the importance of continued collaboration between industry, regional manufacturing associations, education and workforce partners, and public-sector leaders.

The discussion also connected to the work of the Florida Manufacturing & Supply Chain Advocacy Council, a coalition of manufacturing champions across the state working to leverage local relationships and support a legislative climate that is responsive to the needs of Florida’s manufacturing industry.

As Florida manufacturing continues to grow, opportunities like this help elevate the voices of manufacturers and bring industry perspectives directly into statewide conversations about economic development, workforce readiness, innovation, and supply chain resilience.

FloridaMakes appreciates Lt. Governor Collins, MACF, and the manufacturing leaders who joined the roundtable and shared valuable perspectives that help shape the future of Florida’s manufacturing industry.
