FloridaMakes and Partner Manufacturing Organizations Launch Spring Webinar Series to Boost Industry Competitiveness

ORLANDO, Fla. — Several leading Florida manufacturing organizations have partnered to present a series of webinars designed to help state manufacturers address critical challenges and opportunities in today's dynamic business environment.

The spring webinar series began last week and continues through May, covering essential topics from cybersecurity and tariff management to employee retention and state certification programs.

"These targeted educational sessions provide Florida manufacturers with practical strategies to navigate the complex challenges facing our industry," said Ruth Buchanan of FloridaMakes. "Each webinar delivers actionable insights participants can implement immediately."

The webinar schedule includes:

  • April 22, 2025: "Tariffs - Key Strategies to Mitigate Impact" - This webinar will explore practical approaches to managing tariff challenges, including supply chain diversification, tariff engineering, and utilizing free trade agreements.
  • April 25, 2025: "Employer of Choice: Building Great Places to Work" - Presented by FloridaMakes with partners, this session will focus on strategies to enhance recruitment, retention, and workplace culture in manufacturing environments.
  • May 2, 2025: "Reshoring is Surging – How Your Company Can Benefit" Reshoring and foreign direct investment have brought over 1 million manufacturing jobs to the US since 2010. Florida OEMs and contract manufacturers can benefit from the trend.
  • May 9, 2025: "Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Best Practices Manufacturers operating within the Defense Industrial Space need to get CMMC compliant. Learn from a Cyber AB Certified CMMC Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO) on how to get your CMMC Level 2 compliance efficiently.  

All webinars are free to Florida manufacturers and will be conducted online. Each session includes a Q&A segment, allowing participants to address specific concerns with industry experts.
