FloridaMakes, Manufacturers Association of Central Florida and JE Technology Solutions Launch Initiative to Connect Veterans With

High-Quality Manufacturing Careers

Orlando, FL – February 12, 2025 – FloridaMakes, in partnership with the Manufacturing Association of Central Florida and Orlando-based defense

manufacturer JE Technology Solutions announces a groundbreaking initiative to connect veterans with high-quality careers in Florida’s manufacturing industry. In

partnership with FloridaMakes and the Manufacturing Association of Central Florida (MACF), the effort leverages Governor Ron DeSantis’ Pathways to Career

Opportunities Grant to bridge Florida’s talent gap, connecting military servicemembers to high skill, high wage manufacturing careers.

As a veteran-friendly employer, JE Technology Solutions recognizes the immensevalue that military experience brings to the manufacturing sector. Specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of ground support equipment, the company plays a critical role in defense and aerospace manufacturing, making it a natural fit for veterans transitioning into civilian careers. Through this partnership, Orion Talent, a premier military recruitment agency,

identifies highly skilled veterans exiting the military and aligns them with Florida manufacturers seeking top talentat no cost. Once hired, veterans are further upskilled by enrolling in one of FloridaMakes’ registered apprenticeship programs, receiving training in advanced manufacturing, quality control, production

technology, and maintenance. Additionally, all Florida manufacturers can take advantage of the grant to upskill and reskill their existing workforce, regardless of their current hiring status.“As both a defense manufacturer and a veteran-friendly company, we understand the importance of providing meaningful career pathways for those who have served our country,” said Adrian Little, President and Founder of JE Technology Solutions.

“This initiative not only strengthens our workforce but also honors veterans by equipping them with the skills they need to excel in high-tech manufacturing roles.”

This effort aligns with MACF’s broader mission to support the manufacturing industry in Central Florida by addressing workforce development challenges and advocating for policies that strengthen the sector. By connecting veterans with advanced manufacturing careers, this initiative ensures a strong pipeline of skilled

professionals while giving back to those who have served.

“Veterans bring unmatched skills, discipline, and leadership to the manufacturing industry,” said Donnie Casey, Exeuctive Director of the Manufacturing Association

of Central Florida (MACF).This initiative provides Florida manufacturers with a direct pipeline to highly skilled talent while giving veterans a clear path to rewarding careers in advanced manufacturing. At MACF, we are committed to strengthening our region’s manufacturing workforce, and this partnership with FloridaMakes and Orion Talent is a crucial step in ensuring our industry continues to grow and thrive.”

This initiative underscores FloridaMakes’ commitment to workforce development, ensuring a strong pipeline of skilled professionals while supporting veterans as they transition into meaningful, high-wage careers in the manufacturing sector. Florida manufacturers seeking to hire skilled veterans and strengthen their

workforce at no cost should take advantage of this opportunity today. Connect with FloridaMakes at floridamakes.com to get started.
