FloridaMakes Network Opens Nominations for 2nd Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award

Award recognizes volunteer leaders who are making a positive impact within Florida’s manufacturing sector.

ORLANDO, FL — Nominations are now open for the 2nd annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award. The award was created in 2021 in memoriam of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Throughout his career, Mr. Provitola contributed to many state and local educational and economic development initiatives directed at improving the manufacturing economy in Florida and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.

Not only was Bob’s leadership, fortitude, and commitment to excellence instrumental to the creation of the FloridaMakes Network, he made a huge, positive impact within Florida’s manufacturing community and its workforce,” said Kevin Carr, FloridaMakes Network CEO. “We’re happy that this award continues to highlight Bob’s legacy by recognizing other leaders from across Florida who, like Bob, have made significant contributions to manufacturing in Florida.

Nominations for the award are submitted through an online form. Nominees, and their information collected through the form, are then reviewed by a committee of manufacturers and manufacturing stakeholders.  Nominees are scored on their contributions and traits within the areas of advocacy, leadership, mentorship and volunteerism. Only individuals who work for a manufacturing company, or organization that impacts the manufacturing sector, are eligible for the award. This year’s nominations close on August 15, 2022.
