FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (January 11, 2022)- South Florida Manufacturers Association (SFMA), the leading resource for manufacturers in South Florida, is pleased to announce that it has named Roberto Plazola as its new President. Mr. Plazola will be responsible for the overall management of SFMA to include industry functions, execution of strategic objectives, public relations, management of staff, membership retention and recruitment and financial performance.

Mr. Plazola has nearly 30 years of experience leading Fortune 100 Global and Regional organizations in their Customer Success Experience, Sales, Post Sales and Operations. He most recently served as Director, Post Sales and Head of Customer Success and Service Americas for Telefónica.

“SFMA, through its networking, advocacy and training, has long been viewed as the best-kept secret for manufacturers in South Florida, and we were looking for a leader who can push us to the next level of growth and recognition,” said Luis Gonzalez-Mendez, SFMA Board Chair and Executive Director of Trividia Health. “We feel that, with his customer success and sales experience, Roberto is that leader and we look forward to his insight and expertise as we continue to grow.”
