FLATE Adds New Executive Director

  
Ernie Friend, Executive Director, FLATEThe FloridaMakes Network would like to welcome Ernie Friend as the new Executive Director of the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE)! FLATE is a part of the FloridaMakes Network, providing manufacturing and advanced technical education, best practices and resources supporting the high performance skilled workforce for Florida’s manufacturing sectors. 

Ernie comes to FLATE after 25 years at Florida State College at Jacksonville serving various administrative roles over IT, Manufacturing, and other related technology associate degree programs. Dr. Marilyn Barger, previous Executive Director for 18 years, will continue to serve FLATE as Senior Education Consultant.
