Finding, training and retaining skilled workers is one of the top issues facing manufacturers across the country. FloridaMakes collaborates with local public and private resources to deliver the specialized training, worker certification, hands-on experience, management training and other advanced manufacturing education programs needed for today’s high-skilled jobs.
Workforce Development. FloridaMakes works with area manufacturers to leverage sources and types of training and resources to build the workforce you need. We foster collaboration to maximize training opportunities and minimize costs.
Our partners include CareerSource Florida, the College Alliance for Advanced Manufacturing, advanced technology centers, colleges and universities, the Regional Manufacturers Associations, manufacturing trade associations and the State of Florida, as well as third-party experts and other sources.
In addition, FloridaMakes works with the national network affiliated with the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership to build the workforce development eco-system for manufacturing. This includes working to further career ladders, competitive wages and benefits, training opportunities, as well as mentorships, internships and apprenticeships.
