Award Assessments
Florida sterling manufacturing Business Excellence Award process
This award and process has been developed through the cooperative efforts of FloridaMakes and its partner, The Florida Sterling Council. The purposes of this award process are to:
- Recognize high-performing Florida manufacturing companies
- Provide opportunities for organizational learning and development
- Promote and elevate participating manufacturers and the Florida manufacturing sector
All manufacturers with production facilities in Florida, not having won this award in the previous two years, are eligible to participate. Nominees complete a profile and overview application, participate in a screening call, and if eligible, participate in an in-depth interview, either virtually or at their site. All participants will be provided value-added evaluation feedback offering identified company strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Winners and finalists are promoted throughout the state. Additionally, winners are granted a seat on the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Leadership Council, a position on the examiner team for the following year’s awards, and other opportunities.
