ABOUT THE PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
The Production Technologist Associate is a fast track, short term, one year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on basic manufacturing concepts for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing production and assembly roles. It is designed for individuals new to manufacturing who may not currently possess enough knowledge or experience for more advanced technical occupations. It covers fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more.
Trains Workers on:
Basic manufacturing concepts with fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more. During the training period, apprentices follow a structured training plan that allows them to master occupational skills in the context of an employer’s organization and access theoretical content on demand through ToolingU-Sme's online Learning Management System. The 146 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI) contains 25 courses that prepares apprentices to earn the industry driven CMfgA certification which validates their basic knowledge of manufacturing.
In addition apprentices are required to take 45 hours of additional courses which are selected by the employer to match their training needs.
