ABOUT THE MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is a fast track,18-month registered apprenticeship program which focuses on  the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing facility, performing tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely; the training offers a broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics to diagnose and fix issues with complex machinery. 
Trains Workers:
To primarily repair and maintain industrial production or processing machinery and equipment. .  During the training period, apprentices follow a structured training plan that allows them to master occupational skills in the context of an employer’s organization and access theoretical content on demand through ToolingU-Sme's online Learning Management System. The 240 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI) contains courses that provides industry-endorsed related training instruction (RTI) hours needed to meet the requirements of the competency-based  apprenticeship program.
