My wife, Nancy and I have lived in Lakeland, Florida since 1979 and we have two children and two grandchildren.
I have served the Transportation Industry for 44 years, 21 years in Commercial Tire Sales & Management and 23 Years with Florida Utility Trailers, Inc. as Sales Manager and V.P. of Sales.
While with Florida Utility Trailers I was assigned to represent them with the Florida Trucking Association where I served as Chairman, Membership Committee for 10 years and later to serve on the Board of Directors for 10 years.
12 Years ago, I began serving as a Volunteer Chaplain with the Florida Department of Corrections conducting Faith and Character Studies on Sunday afternoon and Monday evenings.
As a result of this work I became aware that there was a great need for developing career employment opportunities for our returning citizens to enable them to have a greater opportunity for success as they start the next phase of their lives.
The Florida Department of Corrections created the opportunity for me to fulfil my dream of continuing service to these individuals by creating a position for me as a Corrections Programs Consultant and I now serve to connect business and industry for vocational education and employment partnerships.
It is a pleasure to serve the manufacturing industry and our returning citizens in this capacity.
