Technological advances and changes to the industry have transformed the way in which manufacturing work is performed and have created a demand for more skilled workers. Middle-skill jobs are generally defined as those that require education and training beyond high school, but less than a bachelor’s degree. Discover Manufacturing is a week-long program that includes career exploration, industry tours and foundational topics including, industry terminology, safety, manufacturing processes, basic hand tools, virtual labs.
Sharpen your people skills and learn how to be a successful employee. You'll participate in the the Florida Ready to Work soft skills program which features highly interactive digital training focused on in demand employability skills including conveying professionalism, communicating effectively, teamwork and collaboration, and thinking critically and solving problems.
Take the opportunity to earn industry credentials. All participants are enrolled in ToolingU’s online, on-demand, Certified Manufacturing Associate training program at "no-cost". Participants get a chance to earn their CMfgA certification and employment in one of the following three manufacturing apprenticeship occupations with a local manufacturer.
