The Southwest Florida Manufacturers Association (SRMA) in collaboration with Lee County Economic Development Office, is offering a Small Business Technical Assistance Program to assist manufacturing businesses in response to COVID-19, and their continuing efforts to recover from the negative impact.

The program was developed under the direction of the Lee Board of County Commissioners and is funded through the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The Small Business Technical Assistance Program has provided ARPA funds to the SRMA, helping us target manufacturers in Qualified Census Tracts and Low to Moderate Income designated areas.  The SRMA will provide free assessments to identify the root cause(s) of the manufacturer’s challenges and offer resources to help bring them back to pre-COVID-19 levels or exceed them.  The SRMA will assist with the application process for need-based grants to help pay for those resources.  Grants range from $5,000 to $20,000!

The menu of services offered to manufacturers are:

  • Assessment of business needs
  • Strategic Planning
  • Performance Optimization
  • Business Continuity
  • Data and Business Intelligence
  • Growth Acceleration
  • International Trade
