Governor DeSantis signs Executive Order 20 91, “Essential Services and Activities During COVID 19 Emergency”

On April 1, Governor DeSantis signed Executive Order 20-91, “Essential Services and Activities During COVID-19 Emergency” which provides for the designation of “essential” services as detailed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in its Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce, v.2 (March 28, 2020).

Read the Executive Order (see Section 2 A) here which became effective on April 3.

Read the referenced DHS Guidance here highlighted specifically wherever manufacturing is mentioned.

This order provides the necessary and broad authority for manufacturers, as designated in the DHS Guidance, to present to local governments and, in some cases, customers as a basis for continuation of their production operations.
