    Precision Optics, Photonics, and Fiber Optics Technician Program Offered by Valencia College – Osceola Campus Seats are now open for Valencia College’s hands-on Precision Optics, Photonics, and Fiber Optics Technician program, running December 1, 2025 – April 6, 2026 . This evening program (Monday–Thursday, 5:00–10:00 p.m.) prepares participants for high-demand careers in optics manufacturing, photonics assembly, fiber termination/splicing, and laser/optical systems support—industries that power healthcare, communications, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing across Central Florida. Scholarships and grants are available to help offset tuition costs. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

    LEADERSHIP SERIES 101: Excellence in Manufacturing

    The Leadership Series 101: Excellence In Manufacturing course is designed to give participants a better understanding of what it means to “lead” the workforce , what their roles and responsibilities are, learn tools and disciplines of being in a leadership / supervisory role in a manufacturing setting, and how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. During this training, participants will learn the skills needed to transition from a high performer to an effective leader in the organization. The “Leadership Series” is broken into six (6) live-virtual modules with a focus on the foundational aspects of becoming a leader in the organization. Each module consists of 3-4 hours of interactive training over a two-day period (1-1/2 to 2 hours, consecutive days) for six (6) consecutive weeks. The program is tailored to meet the needs of: Front-Line Supervisors Team Leaders Managers General Foreman Department Heads CLASS SCHEDULE Module 1: Who Am I As A Supervisor? - March 3 & 4 Module 2: Dealing With Workplace Change - March 10 & 11 Module 3: Effective Communication - March 17&18 Module 4: Stress Management - March 24 & 25 Module 5: Decision-Making - March 31 & April 1 Module 6: Effective Time Management - April 7 & 8 Classroom time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am Cost Per Person: $1,200 (will be invoiced once registered)
