Mike Shew supports manufacturers in Florida’s Panhandle region, through the University of West Florida’s Office of Career and Professional Education, part of the Division of Research and Strategic Innovation, located in Pensacola.
Mike brings more than 25 years of manufacturing and management experience, most recently at the State Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) in Missouri. He has extensive experience in risk/financial management, business consulting and retention, workforce solutions, marketing, public relations and strategic planning, project management and leadership development. Mike is proficient in linking operational and financial management activities to mission, strategy and tactical planning. An experienced small family business owner, he understands and has the ability to link academics and training to successful entrepreneurial activities.
Mike earned a project management certificate from the University of Central Missouri, and has completed all master level courses along with the research/thesis paper for the MBA program from Northwest State Missouri University. Mike served as a Campus Director/President for Wright Career College in the KC metro area. In addition, he is a certified Galliard Family Business Advisor, FBAC and holds a financial professional designation, Licensed International Financial Analyst L.I.F.A. from the International Research Association.
