Dan is a FloridaMakes Business Advisor working with the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida. He started his career with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he spent 19 years at six different plants in the U.S. and Canada, serving as Manager of Industrial Engineering, Production Manager, and Plant Manager. He moved to Florida in 2004 as a Plant Manager for Wheeled Coach, the largest ambulance manufacturer in the U.S.
Dan served as a Senior Project Manager with the former MEP affiliate in Florida, where he supported Florida manufacturers in implementing Lean Transformation, Work Simplification, Ergonomics, and Total Quality Culture (TQC). Dan is also trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Dan joined the Sparton Corporation in DeLeon Springs in 2013 as their Lean Master, implementing process improvements and facilitating Six Sigma projects. The facility was named 2015 Manufacturer of the Year (250+ employees) by the Manufacturers Association of Florida.
Dan graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in industrial management and a master’s in business administration from Oklahoma City University.
