Effective Leadership Development (ELD)

A virtual workshop series to develop skills, competencies and positive leadership behaviors at every organizational level

What is ELD about?

This highly interactive workshop provides a systematic approach to the development of self-confidence, leadership effectiveness, demonstrated by actionable communication; clarity of organizational values and direction; and the understanding of how to lead and help others achieve common goals through real empowerment and results management.

Your instructor confers with you and your direct supervisor to determine what skills and competencies you aim to improve and why. Together, you agree on a realistic return on your investment in this development program.

ELD is designed to get measurable improvement in performance. It is implemented in eight sessions, each two to two and a half hours, meeting virtually every two weeks; plus the Kickoff Session and a later Special Goals and Profile Review Session halfway through the program.

Between sessions, you are assigned to: 

  • Listening to audio program materials (streaming/CDs/MP3)
  • Working on short-term goals
  • Building a Personal/Organizational Plan of Action 
  • Applying proven principles of goal achievement and management to company roles

You and your direct supervisor meet monthly, facilitated by the instructor, to review your results against measurable criteria. 

Each participant in this program will complete and receive feedback from the PROFILE EVALUATION SYSTEM Job-match instrument, which includes 6 aptitudes and 10 dimensions of personality related to performance on the job. You will also receive an interactive Lesson Manual and a Personal/Organizational Plan of Action to reinforce and apply the concepts of this program. This is available either electronically or hard copy.

By the completion of this course, you will be able to (and more):

  • Generate a minimum ROI as mutually agreed with your direct supervisor (average minimum is 3X return)
  • Complete a Time Management plan freeing up several hours/week for leadership responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive delegation plan for direct reports
  • Create a Motivation Plan for each direct report
  • Develop a communication system focused on generating action
  • Produce specific, measurable goals contributing directly to the achievement of department/division/corporate goals

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded at graduation.

When do classes begin?

The program will kick-off June 24, 2020, and will continue on Wednesdays, July 8, 22, Aug. 5, 19, Sep. 2, 16, 30, & will end on Oct. 14.

A virtual meeting in advance of the Kickoff will be arranged between you, your direct supervisor, and the instructor to discuss and decide individual goals for the program.

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Training Venue: Virtual Platform (details to be provided to participants by the instructor)

Tuition: Regional Manufacturers Association Member: $2,650; Non-Member: $2,800
