In this webinar, learn how the advances in automation are affecting the modern manufacturing factory in terms of technology, quality and human resources and how you should prepare for these inevitable changes. AM has commercial implications in manufacturing-related to product design and fabrication. While AM allows freedom in the production environment, the challenges must be understood to implement in the appropriate conditions. In this session, the importance of the differences between Multi-functional (MFAM) and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) will be understood.
Tad Steinberg, is the manager of Siemens Additive Manufacturing (AM) business development, marketing and sales. He is an Air Force veteran and brings 20+ years of aerospace hardware and systems engineering, development, testing and qualification experience which includes defense, civil and private aviation. As the manager of AM business development, his areas of responsibilities include, creating solutions for customers, training, identification and application of engineering needs, and communication of the realities of AM. With the recent opening of the Siemens Additive Manufacturing Application Center (AMAC) in Orlando, Tad leads business development activities for the Americas.
Sean Dotson, President/CEO, RND Automation. A Florida native he received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. Sean has been in the industrial automation and robotics industry his entire career. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida and works as RND's CEO & CTO to build strong manufacturing partnerships with high technology manufacturers. Sean has since retired from triathlons ranging from Olympic to full Ironman distance races but has the itch to try just one more.
