Register to learn about new cybersecurity standards and how to protect you and your business.
One of a series of Florida Defense Cybersecurity Training Programs, the Jacksonville-based outreach program will focus on cybersecurity protection for business and infrastructure, including healthcare and the Department of Defense CMMC requirements for defense contractors.
Defense contracting is a major business opportunity across Florida. With more than $16.5 billion annually in directly contracted defense procurement across the state, and more than $95 billion in total annual economic impact from the military and defense presence in our state, supporting our warfighters is critical to Florida’s economic health as well as our national security. With the Department of Defense (DoD) ramping up its focus on cybersecurity for its supply chain, manufacturers and defense contractors of all types will need to take specific steps to protect their networks if they want to continue doing business with DoD. Without meeting DoD requirements for cybersecurity as outlined in the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS) section 252.204-7012, your business may not be eligible to continue to provide products and services to DoD.
Whether you are seeking a “best practices” approach to providing cybersecurity or will be required to meet the new federally mandated standards, this series of educational offerings provide an ever-changing model for responding to real cybersecurity risks that seemingly involve all aspects of our society. Regardless of your profession (risk managers, safety professionals, HR professionals, company managers, IT specialists, attorneys, etc.) or whether you represent individuals or provide services or are a vendor for public or private corporate interests, this seminar will be of significant value to you. Cybersecurity has become a major part of any Risk Management program. It is not for the sole concern of a company’s IT department; rather, it is “everyone’s problem” within the business and needs everyone’s attention. For those seeking updated technical information on the new defense “supply chain” mandatory cybersecurity requirements, professionals responsible for their development and use by industry will be presented
